Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant – Hackensack
At our practice, part of Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital, your child will have access to experienced physicians in every pediatric subspecialty, including critical care service if indicated. He/she will be cared for by a multidisciplinary team in a family-centered setting including physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, transplant coordinators, social workers, child life specialists, dietitians, teachers and psychologists.
Our Services:
- Autologous stem cell transplants
- Allogeneic stem cell transplants (matched sibling, unrelated donors, cord blood and haplo-identical)
- Reduced intensity conditioning regimens for non-malignant diseases such as sickle cell anemia and thalassemia
- On-site leukopheresis for peripheral stem cells and bone marrow stem cell harvesting
- Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy
- Primary immunodeficiency clinic: evaluation and treatment of abnormal newborn immunodeficiency screening
- Bone marrow failure clinic: evaluation and treatment of both acquired and congenital bone marrow failures
- Management of post-transplant complications
- Extracorporeal photopheresis for graft-versus host disease, including blood prime procedures for low-weight patients (<30kgs)

- Cure and Beyond which follows, evaluates, treats and counsels bone marrow transplant survivors beyond two years
