Our practice provides consultation on the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic infections in children. These infections include diseases like skin infections, bone infections, Lyme Disease, diseases associated with foreign travel and infections in children undergoing treatment for cancer and other blood-borne diseases. We work closely with your pediatrician, intensive care unit doctors, neonatologists and other specialists involved in your child’s care to provide comprehensive quality care.

Education and prevention are essential parts of what we do. We provide teaching for physicians, medical students, doctors in training, nurses and community groups. Our efforts extend to our patients and their families as a routine part of care in order to help them make the best choices regarding their health care.

TravelKids

Our practice offers TravelKids, a specialized pre-travel consultation service for children, teens and young adults who are traveling internationally, whether for vacation, public service or a semester abroad. TravelKids specialists provide customized recommendations based on each child’s health and itinerary and we are also able to provide pre-travel vaccinations including typhoid vaccine, Japanese Encephalitis Vaccine and Yellow Fever Vaccine. TravelKids has been able to continue vaccinating our patients during the nationwide yellow fever vaccine shortage as one of the few sites in the state participating in a special expanded access program.
