Breast Health and Breast Cancer
One in every eight women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. That’s why we encourage every woman over 40 to schedule her annual mammogram. All of our breast imaging facilities offer 3D screening mammography, diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound and MRI, and on-site needle biopsies at multiple convenient locations throughout New Jersey. With Breast Imaging Centers of Excellence and accreditations by the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer, we can help you figure out which screenings are right for you. If you are diagnosed with breast cancer, we offer advanced surgical techniques, the latest medical and radiation oncology approaches, and access to clinical trials of innovative treatments.
Genetic Counseling
Family history or genetic factors can increase an individual’s risk for cancer. Our Hereditary Cancer Risk Program offers cancer risk assessment for individuals who may have an increased risk of developing certain types of cancers. Our comprehensive program focuses on family history and genetics, but it also takes into account personal and environmental factors that contribute to one’s health status. When you are equipped with knowledge about your potential cancer risk, you can make informed decisions about prevention, early detection strategies and available treatments. Our genetic specialists work with you to determine your level of risk.
