At Meridian Hospice, trained volunteers are important members of our interdisciplinary team and are committed to enhancing the quality of the patient’s life by providing companionship, compassion, and emotional support. Our team of volunteers represents many segments of the community including employed professionals, retired individuals, home-makers, college students, and more. Volunteers are assigned to families based on geographic location, availability, and when possible, common interests or backgrounds.
